Bulls vs Jazz 1998 Finals – Game 1 – Michael Jordan 33 points

Maybe it was the grueling seven-game series they had just finished against the Pacers. For some reason, the Bulls didn’t seem to have the energy in this game. Though they only lost by three, 88-85 in overtime, Chicago didn’t have its usual fire. Michael Jordan scored 33 points on 13 of 29 shooting. Scottie Pippen added 21 and Luc Longley scored 10. John Stockton led the Jazz with 24 points, while Karl Malone added 21. The Jazz took a 1-0 series lead in the 1998 NBA Finals.

Bulls vs Blazers 1992 Finals – Game 1 – Michael Jordan 39 points, “The Shrug”

Michael Jordan goes off for 35 points in the first half of game one of the 1992 NBA Finals. Jordan hit six treys in the first half, and after the sixth, shrugged his shoulder in disbelief – one of the most memorable moments in NBA history. MJ finished with 39 on the night and the Bulls dominated Portland.

Michael Jordan 2003 v MVPs Nash and Nowitski

Even at 40 years old, Jordan could still dominate a game. In this game, MJ faces the NBAs MVPs for the past 3 seasons; 2 time MVP Steve Nash (MVP 2005, 2006) and Dirk Nowitski (MVP 2007) and outscores both of them. Jordan had a quiet start to the game, missing his first 6 shots, but takes over in the second half, scoring 30 points on 14-26 shooting and added nine rebounds. Even at 40 and playing with a knee injury, MJ showed again why he is the best ever against today’s top players

NEVER BEFORE SEEN JORDAN FOOTAGE FROM ’95 – Meeting Michael Jordan (1995)

Some Notes: Thought you guys should know that this was edited “live” with 2 VCRs and a little mixer. Back in the day before computers this was all I could do. So I had to hit the music off the CD live, do all the voice over stuff live, and try and time it all while recording it onto another VCR. Very, very, very tough – and if you screwed up? You started over. So there’s a million things I’d do differently of course. I have over 90 minutes of footage however, and I’m toying with the idea of putting a little sequel together with the leftover stuff. Oh and, no one has mentioned it yet, so let me be the first: I know I should’ve asked Jordan about the heckler. I thought of it driving home. I was so nervous, and being so ballsy with that camera (that consequently was taken away from me the next time I went there) but instead of asking him about 70 (though we all knew they were gonna do it that year) I should have asked about that heckler ’cause that was priceless shit. Oh well. Full new entry on the 15th Anniversary – November 9th, 2010… but for more info on what happened go to theofficialjourney.com and Click on November 1995. It’s a cool little story mid-way through that entry.

Jam – Michael Jackson ( Live in Bucharest Tour 1992 )

Madalin Games: sites.google.com = Michael Jackson Search Engine = sites.google.com “Jam” is a song by Michael Jackson from his 1991 Dangerous album. It appears as track one on Dangerous and track two on his 2009 This Is It compilation album. The single was re-released in 2006 as part of Jackson’s Visionary: The Video Singles collection. “Jam” is a mix of aggressive hard funk, dance and rap, or funk hip hop. The bridge features a rap performed by Heavy D (of the group Heavy D & the Boyz). The music video of the song featured NBA legend Michael Jordan (the other “MJ”). The song was also featured on the Chicago Bulls’—Jordan’s team at that time—1992 NBA Championship video “Untouchabulls”. The song was used as the opening number on Jackson’s Dangerous World Tour. The music video for “Jam” takes place within an abandoned indoor basketball court, where Jackson teaches basketball legend Michael Jordan how to dance, and in return, Jordan teaches Jackson how to play basketball. Special effects have Jackson throwing a basketball from a window and scoring in the hoop at the opposite end, as well as Jackson scoring by tossing the ball behind him and kicking the ball into the hoop with his heel. The extended versions of the video include Jackson teaching Jordan how to do the physically complicated moonwalk dance technique.[3] The rap duo Kris Kross makes a cameo appearance, as does Heavy D (who performs a rap during the bridge).
