7.2 Earthquake footage you won’t get from mainstream media
Hey we are all okay down here, but the aftershocks are still happening. It kind of reminds me of how it feels when you are on a boat. I think I am getting sea sick!!!!! I wanna give thanks and recognition to fellow citizen journalists! Keep doing what you are doing! Mainstream media hasn’t even talked about all the damage in the imperial Valley! www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com www.youtube.com Special thanks to KWST for their continuing coverage! Mexicali quake forces US officials to close northbound border in Calexico April 5, 2010 | 7:42 am The northbound border into Calexico, Calif., from Mexicali, Mexico, remained closed Monday morning because of concerns about damage to the US federal building, but people continued to stream into the US on foot as aftershocks rattled the region. A day after a 7.2 earthquake struck the Mexican border town of Mexicali, residents on both sides of the country line remained jittery. Although cars were prohibited from crossing north, people walked over the border to flee Mexicali. Traffic was slow Monday morning along westbound Interstate 8 in El Centro as Caltrans checked for problems on the freeway that may have been caused by the earthquake. Meantime, a steady stream of cars drove south into Mexicali as residents attempted to check on their loved ones. Phones in Mexico were not working. In Calexico, downtown merchants could be seen sweeping broken glass and fallen plaster …
NEVER BEFORE SEEN JORDAN FOOTAGE FROM ’95 – Meeting Michael Jordan (1995)
Some Notes: Thought you guys should know that this was edited “live” with 2 VCRs and a little mixer. Back in the day before computers this was all I could do. So I had to hit the music off the CD live, do all the voice over stuff live, and try and time it all while recording it onto another VCR. Very, very, very tough – and if you screwed up? You started over. So there’s a million things I’d do differently of course. I have over 90 minutes of footage however, and I’m toying with the idea of putting a little sequel together with the leftover stuff. Oh and, no one has mentioned it yet, so let me be the first: I know I should’ve asked Jordan about the heckler. I thought of it driving home. I was so nervous, and being so ballsy with that camera (that consequently was taken away from me the next time I went there) but instead of asking him about 70 (though we all knew they were gonna do it that year) I should have asked about that heckler ’cause that was priceless shit. Oh well. Full new entry on the 15th Anniversary – November 9th, 2010… but for more info on what happened go to theofficialjourney.com and Click on November 1995. It’s a cool little story mid-way through that entry.

Travel The World By Jumping From Job To Job
Would you like to travel the world while supporting your travel expenses by jumping from job to job?
This is one of the great ways to travel the world without draining your bank accounts. Backpacking has never been practical, but it can be done for little to no expense because a lot of people are willing to give temporary jobs for travelers in exchange for free food and accommodation.
Another way is to use the Internet and do freelance online related jobs and earn money electronically. It may seem impossible to some but the possibilities are almost endless due to the advancements of technology in communications and travel.
The traditional approach of earning money on the trail is finding jobs in hostels. You can also find job listings where work is offered at farms and ranches. Common backpacking destinations, places like in Europe, New Zealand, and Australia, have plenty of temporary job offers. Travelers can take advantage of these if they want to save while traveling.
The Internet now has job listings in every location. It is better to bring an Internet-ready device, such as a laptop, smart phone, and other gadgets when taking trips because you can browse for information and find temporary work.
Work is usually menial, every day chores on farms, ranches, and even ordinary homes. Some websites may even offer jobs at small businesses as janitors, bartenders, or waiters. The offers vary from the very basic to highly specialized. It is better if you have special skills, like in technology, performing arts, entertainment, and crafts. In your travels, you’ll never know when and where you can use it to your advantage.
With the aide of Internet, you can also find clients for your special skills. Freelancing is easy and lucrative work. If you have special abilities in writing, website optimization, or just any kind of technological skill, you can offer your services online. Plenty of websites have great systems in finding clients and service providers. Get listed in sites like Odesk, Elance, and CraigsList.
You can go anywhere and let the world be your office. If you need an Internet connection, you can just go to areas that have connectivity. Payment is usually done instantly by electronic means; it couldn’t be more convenient. Once an assignment is over, you can just find another one, or you can even have multiple assignments as long as you can manage.
Temporary jobs and freelance work are good ways to earn a fast buck when in foreign countries. Sure it may take a little of your vacation time but with the proper mindset and attitude, you can make any task a fun experience. It will not impede your enjoyment and exploration; but rather help further it.
Some people own websites and earn income passively from it. Money is generated through rented ad space, affiliate marketing, products selling or all three. However, this takes a bit more learning time and effort. As a resourceful traveler, you can juggle the given techniques and soon you will realize that traveling will not blow away all your money. In fact, you can earn lots from it.

Car Insurance – How to Compare Rates From Multiple Companies Instantly
The reason we compare car insurance quotes from multiple car insurance companies is to make sure weâre getting the best rates possible. Of course nobody wants to pay more money than they have to, but in the other hand we also want to make sure that our car insurance company is going to respond quickly and fairly in case of an accident.
What is unknown to many is that there is not one single car insurance company that is cheaper than others. One particular car insurance company can be the cheapest for one person but the most expensive for another. Each car insurance company has a certain category of drivers they want to insure. If you fit their category they will offer you a cheap rate, if you donât, they will offer you an expensive rate. That is their way of filtering the people they want and do not want to insure. That is the reason we need to compare insurance rates from multiple car insurance companies, to find out which company will offer us the cheapest rate. The key is to find the company that offers the cheapest rate for you, but of course, it is important to compare rates from quality companies only.
There are many quality car insurance companies out there; however, some of those quality companies also have a high price to go along with them. How do we find a quality company for a cheap price? That, my friend, is the key question.
The traditional method of shopping for car insurance is to call around which we all know can be a long process. Another drawback of shopping for car insurance by phone is the probability of getting caught with the old âbait and hookâ trick. That is when someone gives you a low quote by phone and hikes it up on you when you go into their office to purchase the car insurance policy.
In todayâs world, luckily, we have the internet. The internet makes life a lot easier for all of us. Using the internet, we can shop for many types of things we may need which include shopping for car insurance.
Shopping for car insurance online is the best way to compare rates from multiple car insurance companies. Online, you can also read about a companyâs history and make sure theyâre a quality company. Most companies offer instant online car insurance quotes thorough their websites which makes obtaining car insurance quotes a lot easier than the traditional method of shopping by phone. Better yet, there are some websites that offer online car insurance quotes from multiple companies with one simple process. You can even purchase your car insurance online if you like the price. One such website is OnlineAutoInsurance.com. There, you can obtain quotes from quality companies such as Progressive, AIG, Infinity, GMAC, Bristol West, and several more. All with one simple process!
OnlineAutoInsurance.com provides online car insurance to all United States. One simple process will get you quotes from top insurance companies like Progressive, GMAC, AIG, Infinity and more!
