  4. MJ,Scottie,Magic,Bird,Ewing,Malone,Stockton,Robinson,Barkley,Drexler, ALL HALL OF FAMERS ON THE SAME TEAM!!!! That’s just insane. Add that to a Hall of Fame Head Coach Chuck Daily, another great player in Chris Mullen. And well Christian Laettner. Probably the most talented that has ever been put together.

  14. Overall, yes he is. He is not nearly as offensively skilled, but is MUCH, MUCH better defensively…trust me, I’ve been a Knicks fan since 1989 and saw Ewing regularly in his prime.

  16. Presently Dwight Howard is not better than Ewing. Howard definitely has the potential to be better, but he is not even close yet. He needs a few more years to develop into his own.

  19. um. im pretty sure height is pretty damn important in rebounding, and post-up play which is what the PF position is for…

    its all about the skills, and from my educated opinion, players from the 80s and 90s have loads of skills compared to, as you said, “what it is now”.

    players played with nothing but heart, and the games were pretty much 10x better to watch.

  21. Barkley would destroy todays league. Now its a pussies game with no post game, no contact allowed in the paint, thin tall PF un capable of rough game, thin Centers with No Post Skills, No Handchecking Allowed, 5 Second Back to the Basket Rule (Anti Shaq, Anti Barkley), Free Lanes for Perimeter Players, Free Drives for Perimter Players, High Schoolers Allowed to Play a Game with Their Low B-Ball IQ, Low Cout Vision, Unexistant Passing Game, Zero Fundamentals. Todays Game is a Joke!

  23. Barkley destroyed Duncan at ages 34-36 and Garnett. Barkley is 1 of only 2 players to be both in the Top 10 in EFF and PER departments, the other? MICHAEL JORDAN? Barkley is the 5th Player in Statistical +/- of All TIme aswell. Barkley under these zone rules would equal 1992 and 1996 Barkley. No handchecking on a 55-58% 2-Point FG Scorer? Laughable!

    Barkley would own the league today 2000s have been one of the weakest and least competitive times ever in the NBA.

  24. Ewing is NOT better than Dwight Howard — the other three centers, you’re probably right.

    Oh, and Tim Duncan is THE greatest PF ever…period. Comparison
    Duncan vs. Barkley: Rings = 4-0, NBA finals MVP = 3-0, Regular season MVPs = 2-1 (both had a year where they were robbed for MVP…Duncan in 1999, Barkley in 1990). Nuff said.

    and charles barkley is just too short to hang with the PFs of today =/ the way PF position is now, Duncan is one of the greatest probably.
